Irving's Business Scene

Irving's Las Colinas
Powers a Premier
Corporate Urban Center.

Home to Las Colinas — one of the first master-planned urban centers in the country — Irving is a corporate powerhouse in the DFW Metroplex. ExxonMobil, Kimberly-Clark, Vizient, Pioneer Natural Resources, and NEC have major operations here. The city's proximity to DFW International Airport makes it one of the most strategically located business cities in Texas.

That corporate concentration creates opportunity — and financial complexity. Business owners in Irving need clean books, clear cash flow visibility, and a partner who can keep up with them as they scale.

📍 About Irving, TX

The City Behind the Business.

Irving is more than a zip code — it's one of Texas's most dynamic cities. Understanding its neighborhoods, roads, history, and economy is how we serve our clients better.

History & Economic Growth

Founded in 1903 and named after Washington Irving, the author of "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," Irving was a small farming community for decades. The city's flat prairie land between Dallas and Fort Worth seemed unremarkable.

The 1974 opening of DFW International Airport — built partly in Irving — transformed the city's trajectory. Ben Carpenter's Las Colinas development, launched in the 1970s, created one of the nation's first master-planned urban centers, attracting major corporations with its canal walk, lakes, and corporate campuses. ExxonMobil built its campus nearby, Kimberly-Clark and Fluor Corporation headquartered operations, and the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas attracted business events. The Toyota Music Factory and the DART Orange Line brought entertainment and transit, completing Irving's transformation from farm town to corporate city.

Today that corporate and strategic growth continues — with more small business owners than ever, and more who need clean books to grow with confidence.
