Houston's Business Scene

Houston Is the Energy
Capital of the World
and a Global Trade Hub.

As the fourth-largest city in America and the undisputed energy capital of the world, Houston powers an economy spanning oil and gas, healthcare, aerospace, international trade, and technology. The Texas Medical Center — the world's largest — employs over 100,000 people, the Port of Houston leads the nation in foreign waterborne tonnage, and NASA's Johnson Space Center anchors a thriving aerospace corridor.

That global scale creates opportunity — and financial complexity. Business owners in Houston need clean books, clear cash flow visibility, and a partner who understands the pace of a world-class business city.

📈

📍 About Houston, TX

The City Behind the Business.

Houston is more than a zip code — it's one of Texas's most dynamic cities. Understanding its neighborhoods, roads, history, and economy is how we serve our clients better.

History & Economic Growth

Founded in 1836 by brothers Augustus and John Allen, Houston was named after General Sam Houston, hero of the Battle of San Jacinto. The city briefly served as the capital of the Republic of Texas and grew as a railroad hub and cotton trading center through the 19th century.

The 1901 Spindletop oil gusher near Beaumont launched Houston into the petroleum age, and the city never looked back. The Houston Ship Channel (1914) connected the city to the Gulf of Mexico, creating the Port of Houston. NASA's Johnson Space Center (1961) made Houston synonymous with space exploration — "Houston, we have a problem" entered the global lexicon. The Texas Medical Center grew into the world's largest, Enron's collapse (2001) tested but didn't break the city, and Houston emerged as one of America's most diverse and economically dynamic metros.

Today that global energy continues — with more small business owners than ever, and more who need clean books to grow with confidence.
