Kingsport's Business Scene

Kingsport Is the
Tri-Cities' Manufacturing
Powerhouse.

Built around Eastman Chemical Company — one of the world's largest specialty chemical manufacturers — Kingsport is a planned industrial city with deep manufacturing roots. Beyond chemicals, the city's economy includes healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, and a growing downtown business scene.

That industrial strength creates opportunity — and financial complexity. Business owners in Kingsport need clean books, clear cash flow visibility, and a partner who can keep up with them as they scale.

📈

Chemical Manufacturing Hub

Eastman Chemical's global headquarters employs 7,000+ locally — anchoring a massive supplier and services ecosystem.

🏙️

Planned City Heritage

📍 About Kingsport, TN

The City Behind the Business.

Kingsport is more than a zip code — it's one of Tennessee's most dynamic cities. Understanding its neighborhoods, roads, history, and economy is how we serve our clients better.

History & Economic Growth

Kingsport's location at the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Holston River made it a historic crossing point — part of the Great Stage Road that connected Virginia to Tennessee. The area was settled in the 1760s and saw Daniel Boone pass through on his way west.

Modern Kingsport was born in 1917 when investors hired planner John Nolen to design a model industrial city. The Eastman Kodak Company (later Eastman Chemical) built its first plant here in 1920, and the city was literally built around the factory. Eastman Chemical spun off as an independent company in 1994 and remains headquartered in Kingsport — the city's economic engine and largest employer.

That manufacturing heritage means a strong base of small business owners — and small business owners who need clean books to grow with confidence.
